September 12, 2014
Happy Friday! We had an awesome week with great learning activities for students and parents. We sincerely appreciate the fantastic support of parents/guardians, students, friends, and family who attended our Curriculum event! If you have any questions regarding Title1, At-Risk, Special Ed Services, Curriculum or any other support services we offer please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
Cell phones and electronic devices aren’t permitted to be brought to school without prior authorization from the principal. We aren’t responsible for any electronic device lost, theft, or damage. If you have questions or concerns with our School Board Policy please contact our office.
MTA will be working with adjusting routes to accommodate our students and parents with appropriate stops, please be patient as they work through this process. They anticipate changes to occur after October 1st, when enrollments for schools are more stabilized. Thank you in advance for your support!
We have initiated a new recognition program for parents called “Parent/Guardian Scholars”! You will receive 2 GSTEMA credits for attending parent/student events. The goal is to earn a minimum of 20 credits. There will be a celebration in June to recognize all our “Parent/Guardian” Scholars. We are working hard as part of our School Improvement Plan goal to increase parent engagement, please help us achieve our goal.
Congratulations to our students who earned “August Great Star” certificates. We applaud your success and look forward to honoring students each month for exemplary citizenship following the GSTEMA code.
Dismissal is a busy time; we need your assistance with safety precautions. Please, use the parking lot if you are picking up your child or opposite side of the street from buses. Adults should use the gym door for dismissal. If you are picking up your student early, you must use the front door entrance. Please limit early dismissal to emergency situations only to avoid loss of learning time and class disruption. We appreciate your support.
