Happy Thursday! We had an OUSTANDING week! Our first school-wide field learning trip was a great success! We had fun learning about how apple cider is made, observing animals, picking our pumpkin, riding on our hayride observing various kinds of trees and fun characters. We were blessed to have 41 chaperones and 2 GSTEMA Board members, Mrs. LeGardye and Mrs. McCune on our trip! The weather was good and our staff fantastic! Thank you to everyone for your support; “Teamwork Makes a Dream Work!”
Friday, October 31st is Fall Festival! Students can dress up in their favorite career costume. We will have a parade of careers at 2pm. Parents/Guardians and friends who would like to participate in our special day can do many things such as: share your career with a class (form attached), view the parade, and donate safe individually wrapped candy to pass out (gym). Visitors must sign in first before going to the class or gym. Talk to your child’s teacher to see how you can be of assistance.
We continually have blessings showering our school. Townsquare Media donated backpacks with supplies to our school for students! We are sincerely grateful for the community support.
Parent/Teacher conferences for 1st Marking period is coming to an end, if you didn’t have your conference, please contact the teacher immediately. Our goal is 100% participation. It’s an expectation of Genesee STEM Academy to have all parents engaged in their child’s academic progress.
Finally, we have staff volunteers riding the Orange bus to assist with supervision and monitor student behavior. As I rode the bus yesterday there were many parents not at the stop or home to receive their children. For children 10 years or younger you must meet them at their stop. The bus is delayed when the bus driver has to wait for parents to pick up their student(s).
There are two pair of prescription glasses in the office. If you or your child lost their glasses, please come to the office to claim them.
Friday, October 24th No School/Brain Break/School Closed
Have a blessed weekend
