October 15, 2015 Thursday Parent Letter

October 15, 2015

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Happy Thursday!  Our motto “Teamwork Makes a Dream Work” continues to be demonstrated throughout our school family and community.

Our water supply for staff and students has extended beyond measures.  This week we have received water filters and pitchers from Flint.  Saginaw Valley State University our authorizer is donating $1000.00 for water and Eastern Michigan Food Bank donated a flat bed of water.  We have been blessed and appreciate all the loving care and support from our community and beyond!

Teachers and students are preparing for our Fall Parent Conference where we share important assessment data on where your child‘s performing and plans to work collaboratively to help them soar through the year!  Our goal is 100% participation.  We want to show the state our parents are involved and committed to their child’s education.  If you can’t make your scheduled conference please give us a call to reschedule.

The Fall Festival committee is excitedly preparing for our celebration on Friday, October 30thOur traditional theme continues with career costumes.  This year we will be adding another dimension to the day with people coming to share their career expertise.  If you would like to share your career with our students please contact Mrs. Shay.  Remember we are a nut free school; therefore donated treats should be nut free.  The parade will begin at 2pm and parents and friends are encouraged to join the fun.  We sincerely appreciate your support!

Our Caps For Kids Day was a success.  We raised $40.00 for this phenomenal program!  We sincerely appreciate everyone who supported our community project.  “Teamwork Makes a Dream Work!”

The winner of our first Friday Letter $25.00 gas card drawing goes to Dorrin & Tamasha Harrold!  Remember to read our weekly letter you never know when fun surprises will be available to win.
