March 12, 2015
Happy Thursday! We had an amazing week! The Engineering Zone was electric with Stemnatics presentations. The students presented their final projects of roller coasters and boats. It was a delight to hear their commercials and see their projects in operation! Our winter MAP testing this week has been phenomenal! Students K-6 has been taking the math assessment aligned to our common core standards. Most students met or exceeded their midyear goal. We are very proud of their accomplishments and would like to extend our sincere appreciation for your support. Next week they will begin the reading assessment and science (3rd-6th). Genesee STEM Academy is the greatest with the best staff, students, parents, and grandparents!
“Rocking through Reading” is so much fun! The students have been reading and earning their stars! Help your child earn a Diamond Record Label by reading every night. We sincerely appreciate your support and our guest readers who came to participate!
Today our school participated in a simulated Medical Emergency Response Drill (MERT) facilitated by Mrs. Blaharski. Mrs. Blaharski is a trained medic for the United States Air Force, we are blessed to have her at GeneseeSTEMAcademy!
