August 22, 2014 Friday Parent Letter

August 22, 2014

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Happy Friday!  We are on the move with students learning and following procedures!  Thank you for your support encouraging students to make responsible choices.

Our school day begins at 8:15 am and ends at 3:30pm.  Please, make sure your child has excellent attendance and is here on time ready to learn.  Students are recognized monthly for perfect attendance!   Students should report to the gym every morning, use the gym door entrance.  Students can begin arriving at 7:30am, breakfast 7:45am.  Students are dismissed from the gym at 3:30pm.  If you are picking up your child please report to the gym for sign out safety procedures.

We are working out challenges with transportation to make sure students are riding the correct bus.  The bus drivers are learning the students and their locations.  Please, be patient as they work through the system getting acquainted with our families.  Remember an adult most pick up their children under the age of 10 years from the drop off location.

Uniforms are required.  We are allowing time for parents to purchase uniforms for their children.  All students are expected to be properly dressed by Tuesday, September 2, 2014.  Students not dressed will receive a warning, with no recess as a consequence.  We would like to start a school uniform closet.  If you are available and willing to help with this program please contact our office.  Thank you for your support!

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all parents who have been spreading the positive message about Genesee STEM Academy!  Our enrollment is increasing and we have a waiting list.  Please, continue to pass the word to family and friends.  Our goal is to have at least two K-3 classes; we are almost at our goal.

Thank you for selecting Genesee STEM Academy to educate your child!  Working together our children will be leaders in the community, state, and world!  If you have any questions, please give us a call.
