April 17, 2015 Friday Parent Letter
April 17, 2015
Happy Friday! We had a fantastic week! The fifth grade students began their M-Step testing. Mrs. Garcia had them fully prepared to be successful! We are very proud of our students. The 4th – 6th grade students were engaged in a special presentation by Consumers Energy invited by Ms. Davis. The students learned strategies on how to conserve energy. They received their individual “Take Action Kit” from Consumer Energy! The presenters complimented our students on their excellent behavior and scientific knowledge of conserving energy. Please, return your Consumer Energy survey immediately so we can earn funds for our field trip.
Next week we will be celebrating Earth week! You can come and join the fun with our projects. Wednesday is Earth Day. You can give us a call to find out how you can assist with planting flowers, school beautification, etc. Thank you in advance for your support!
Spring Pictures will be taken on Friday, April 24th. The order form is included with our Friday letter. Pictures must be paid before photographed. Students can take group pictures limited to 4 per group (K-6th only). Students are allowed to have their favorite, safe prop for their picture. Students are not required to wear their uniform for Spring Pictures.
After School programs will begin Monday, April 27 and ends week of May 18th. Registration forms are due back no later than Tuesday, April 21st. Confirmation letter will be sent home Friday, April 24th.
We saw improvement with student’s following our uniform dress code. Thank you for your support!
A special shout out to Ms. Harris and Mr. Young for volunteering their time to support all children. Ms. Harris volunteers as a 1st grade listener for students to read her their favorite story. Mr. Young volunteers as a coach for our After School Chess club. We sincerely appreciate your commitment and dedication!
