May 21, 2015 Friday Parent Letter
May 21, 2015
Happy Thursday! It was a busy week at GeneseeSTEMAcademy! Students have been working on their Science Fair projects and end of marking period assessments. Our Science Fair is Saturday, June 6th, 11:00-2:00pm. Please, mark your calendars and plan to attend this exciting exhibit!
Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for May 28th, June 2nd, and June 4th. Our final conference is for students who haven’t demonstrated mastery of their grade level standards to be promoted next year. We also welcome any parents who want to discuss their child’s academic progress. If you missed the previous conference please attend our final conference. Teachers are required to hold two parent conferences. We need your participation and support to be successful. If you need a different time, please let us know and we will try to accommodate your schedule.
I would like to express our sincere gratitude to the parents who participated in the 5th/6th planning meeting for next year! Your ideas and collaborative input makes a difference to provide the very best curriculum for our children. We are excited and looking forward to an awesome 2015/16 year with new learning opportunities for our children!
M-Step continues with our 3rd and 6th grade students testing from now to June 5th. Thank you for making sure your child is present and ready to be successful!
We have completed our After School Program for this year. I hope your child enjoyed their extended day learning adventure.
School Dismissal is a very busy time. Please, make sure you drive all the way back and not park on the side near our entrance. We want to keep traffic flowing and avoid any accidents. We appreciate your support.
Our school ‘Jump Rope for Heart’ Community project contribution envelopes are due Friday, May 29. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Blaharski (McClelland).
