June 13, 2014 Friday Parent Letter
June 13, 2014
Happy Friday! We are celebrating our students first successful week of MAP testing! Overall our students have shown significant reading growth. Next week they will take the math MAP assessment. We look forward to sharing the great news. Ask your student about their test scores, they were very proud of their achievement!
Attention Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Parents if you haven’t returned your R.S.V.P. card, please do so or give us a call to reserve a place for you and your family. We want to make sure we have enough seats for everyone to join this important milestone event.
Attendance is critical for students’ success! We have an extended school year, with school ending Thursday, June 26th. Students have their end of year assessments starting June 9th thru June 24th. Students who aren’t present for assessments are in jeopardy of not being promoted to the next grade. We appreciate your support in making sure your child is present and ready for success until school ends.
We have many exciting adventures planned for the end of school; including “Transition Day”, when students will visit their class for next year! If you haven’t returned your Letter of Intent” to reserve a placement for your child next year, please send a note to school a.s.a.p. We are accepting new enrollments and wouldn’t want to give up your child’s placement for next year. Failure to provide written communication by June 26 to reserve your child’s placement at Genesee STEM Academy could result in removal from the school.
