January 29, 2015 Thursday Parent Letter
January 29, 2015
Happy Thursday! We have had a very busy week with ending our third marking period. We are excited about our students’ growth shown on their diagnostic assessments! The student’s good attendance is linked to their success. Please, make sure you are making every effort to have your student present and on time. We are concerned about student’s arriving late and who have excessive absence.
Students are not permitted to bring electronic devices including cell phones to school. We have had numerous students bringing cell phones to school. We are not responsible for any cell phone broken or stolen. We understand some parents whose child rides the bus would like to use it for emergency contact. Unfortunately, students aren’t following those directions and are causing safety challenges. Visible cellphones will be confiscated and held in the office for parent pick up only. If you have any questions please give me a call.
Report cards will be sent home on Friday, February 6th. If your child doesn’t bring home their report card please call the school. If you would like to request a conference regarding your student’s progress, please call for a conference with their teacher. Our goal is to work collaboratively to help every child be successful!
We are always working towards improving our school. Please, join us for our Parent Ambassador meeting to review what we are doing, share ideas of how we can support you with possible workshops, and give ideas on how we can improve. We value your input and need your support. Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 10th at 5:00pm.
