April 24, 2015 Friday Parent Letter
April 24, 2015
Happy Friday! We had a phenomenal week with our 6th grade students winning the Genesee County Recycling Commercial completion. Their grand prize is $400.00 and composting supplies for our garden which will be used for a class field trip! They had assistance from some of the 5th grade students, Mrs. Garcia, and Ms. Vermilya. “Team Work Makes a Dream Work!” We had fun Earth day projects throughout the school, even with Mother Nature giving us a whirl with weather.
The 5th grade class is almost finish with their M-Step testing and 4th grade will begin next week. Please, make sure your child is present for testing. Remember a good night rest, breakfast, and encouragement will help them be successful. We sincerely appreciate your support.
Our Science Fair scheduled for this Saturday, April 25th has been canceled. Students require more time and guidance to prepare, Information on how to assist your student will be sent home with our rescheduled date.
Queen and Prince Ball is quickly approaching Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 6:00pm. Space is limited so purchase your ticket for only $5.00 per person. We want to make sure we have room for everyone.
